Where is the Faculty of Land and Food Systems Graduate Student Conference being held?

The 2024 LFS Graduate Student Conference is being hosted in-person this year. Details to come. 

 

Who can attend this conference?

All LFS students, staff and alumni are welcome to attend this conference, as well as faculty members across UBC.

 

How much does it cost to attend this conference? 

The conference is free! Please RSVP through the ‘Register’ tab on this webpage. 

 

Who can present at this conference?

Any graduate student in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems can present at this conference.

Students at any point in their program can present; you do not need to have final results to present at this conference! Students are able to submit abstracts with final results, preliminary results, or can even present their proposal or a unique topic related to their research area.

Post-doctoral fellows and undergraduate students in LFS, and graduate students co-supervised by an LFS Faculty member can also present!

 

I have class on Tuedays – do I have to attend for the full day?

We realize that students and faculty may have other commitments on campus. Although we encourage everyone to stay for the entire conference, you are totally able to ‘sneak out’ for classes.
